The longer you own your Mazda car, the greater the chance that certain components will wear down. It’s important to stay on top of these so you’ll have a good idea of when they need a replacement. Here you’ll learn about the Mazda parts that will have to be replaced sooner or later.

Tires

Every time you drive, your tires wear down just a little bit. The good news with tires, however, is that they can have a long lifespan. As long as you rotate them regularly – about every six months or so – they should last up to around 50,000 miles. If you don’t rotate them, they may not make it 20,000 miles.

Battery

Your battery has a shorter life than you may realize. Typically, they only last between three and five years. This is why it’s worth having it tested annually. Once the power starts getting low, you can get a new battery.

Filter

There are several filters in your car, and over time they get dirty and stop doing their job properly. The oil filter can generally be replaced every other oil change. The air filter can usually make it to between 12,000 and 15,000 miles. You may not need a new cabin filter until you get up to around 30,000 miles.

Windshield Wipers

Of all the items on this list, wipers have the shortest lifespan. Depending on much you use them – along with the direct sunlight they often get – a set may only last a couple of years, as the plastic cracks and the rubber frays over time.
